Roles and Responsibilities:
Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily activities.
Assessing patient conditions and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educating patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and treatment plans.
Documenting patient information accurately and maintaining medical records.
Responding to emergencies and providing timely interventions as needed.
Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the ward environment.
Advocating for patient needs and rights.
Participating in quality improvement initiatives and adhering to healthcare regulations and protocols.
Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during challenging times.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the relevant jurisdiction.
Clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferably in a ward environment.
Proficiency in basic nursing skills such as medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
Knowledge of medical terminology, patient assessment, and care planning.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work effectively under pressure.
Critical thinking skills to assess patient conditions, identify problems, and implement appropriate interventions.
