Ward Nurse

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily activities.

• Assessing patient conditions and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.

• Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.

• Educating patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and treatment plans.

• Documenting patient information accurately and maintaining medical records.

• Responding to emergencies and providing timely interventions as needed.

• Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the ward environment.

• Advocating for patient needs and rights.

• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and adhering to healthcare regulations and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the relevant jurisdiction.

• Clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferably in a ward environment.

• Proficiency in basic nursing skills such as medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, patient assessment, and care planning.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work effectively under pressure.

• Critical thinking skills to assess patient conditions, identify problems, and implement appropriate interventions.
